Services include:

The ASAM Levels of Care

  • Level 0.5 — Early Intervention: Education, risk screening, and brief counseling for individuals at risk who do not yet have a formal addiction diagnosis. [1, 2]

  • Level 1 — Outpatient Services: Structured treatment providing fewer than 9 hours of service per week, ideal for mild conditions or step-down care. [1, 2]

  • Level 2 — Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP):

    • Level 2.1 (IOP): 9 to 19 hours of structured programming per week.

    • Level 2.5 (PHP): 20 or more hours of daily or near-daily multi-service programming without 24-hour residency. [1, 2, 3]

  • Level 3 — Residential / Inpatient Services: 24-hour supportive settings featuring varying degrees of clinical and medical staff oversight:

    • Level 3.1: Clinically managed low-intensity residential.

    • Level 3.3: Clinically managed high-intensity population-specific services (e.g., cognitive impairment support).

    • Level 3.5: Clinically managed high-intensity residential services.

    • Level 3.7: Medically monitored intensive inpatient services with round-the-clock nursing
